VIVERSE 2025 Recap: What We Built Together

2025 was loud, in the best way. Creators published more Worlds, players showed up in bigger numbers, and new teams joined in from classrooms to studios. If you’ve already watched our 2025 recap video, then this is your deeper dive into the milestones behind the montage.

By the numbers

In the recap video, linked below, we shared milestones that still feel unreal. These numbers aren’t just stats to us, though. They show you, the creators and players, keep choosing VIVERSE for what comes next, and we’re so thankful.

1 million monthly active users

This is what you made possible. Thanks for showing up, sharing links, and inviting others in. Let’s keep the momentum going through 2026! (VIVERSE 2025 Wrapped, 0:07

23,000+ Worlds published

VIVERSE expanded, one launch at a time. From games to galleries to social spaces, it all adds up to a more dynamic landscape of 2D and 3D content for you in your browser. Check out what’s ready to play, explore, and discover on VIVERSE. (VIVERSE 2025 Wrapped, 0:14

140+ Creator Program projects funded

Creators from 30+ countries turned ideas into real releases. We’ve had the opportunity to support indie game makers, artists, and small teams. Gotta say, it feels pretty good. Have a project that needs funding? Apply to the VIVERSE Creator Program! (VIVERSE 2025 Wrapped, 0:21

Make cool stuff. Share it.

One of our biggest goals in 2025 was simple: help you spend less time fighting tools. Then help you share faster. Whether you’re painting with VR, scanning 3D objects and real places, or prototyping, we kept aiming for the same finish line. Get it online, make it playable, and send a link.

Open Brush: paint it, publish it, let people step inside

Our integration with Open Brush makes it possible for artists to share in a refreshingly new way with the simple click of a button within their UI. (VIVERSE 2025 Wrapped, 0:33

KIRI Engine: 3D scanning, reimagined

We also leaned into real-world captures, from 3D objects to 3D Gaussian splats. KIRI Engine workflows make it easier to bring scanned objects and spaces into your Worlds

World Labs’ Marble: fast world prototyping

World Labs showed off a different kind of speed with their launch of Marble. It’s about moving from an idea to a world-shaped starting point. From there, you refine, remix, and publish what’s yours. Explore what’s been made with Marble and published on VIVERSE

Wonderland Engine: avatars + multiplayer, ready

Wonderland Engine + VIVERSE gave creators a clean starting point for high-performance WebXR Worlds. The open-source template helps you bring in VIVERSE avatars and multiplayer via Wonderland Cloud, then publish with less setup

If you built something this year, don’t keep it hidden. Publish it, then send the link.

From Versailles to Brooklyn

Some 2025 highlights didn’t feel like content drops. They felt like stepping into a story. We got to help bring culture, craft, and legacy into Worlds you can explore in a browser.

Versailles: a bite-sized trip through the Lost Gardens

We launched an interactive 3D trailer for Versailles: Lost Gardens of the Sun King on VIVERSE. It’s a browser-based journey guided by André Le Nôtre. You can explore the original Royal Menagerie from desktop or mobile. No downloads needed. Read more

The Little Prince: step inside the story

We also launched a browser-based preview for The Little Prince: Call to Adventure. It’s an interactive 3D trailer that lets you explore scenes from the experience on desktop or mobile. The full location-based event in Hokkaido is available to explore in-person. Check out the trailer

Big Daddy Kane: roots, legacy, and what’s next

Big Daddy Kane’s World on VIVERSE celebrates where he’s been, and hints at where he’s headed. It’s built around his Brooklyn roots, his artistry and the hip-hop culture he’s helped define and shape. Read more about the experience, then use the link above to step into BDK’s world.

VIVERSE Worlds are more than games (though we’ve got those too). Worlds can hold history, music, and stories—your stories.

Students are building the future

One of the best parts of 2025 was seeing learning turn into real, shareable work. Students didn’t just study tools. They built amazing experiences that run in a browser, be them games, narratives, art, and more.

Across universities and schools, the common thread was simple. Make something real. Put it online. Share the link. The work doesn’t vanish after finals.

Partners and programs we built with:

The creator ecosystem got stronger

In 2025, publishing on VIVERSE started to feel more sustainable. Not just more Worlds, but more ways to keep building, and more ways to grow.

Funding helped ideas become real releases

The Creator Program continued supporting creators and small teams who want to earn money from their art and development projects. Games, interactive worlds, art, music, and real-world spaces all showed up in the funded lineup.

Monetization started rolling out in beta

Creators have been asking for more ways to earn. This year, monetization began rolling out to a beta group. That includes one-time premium purchases and channel subscriptions.

Use your engine of choice

We continue to keep the door wide open for creators to publish, no matter what they use to build their content. With support for Unity, Godot, Three.js, A-Frame, PlayCanvas, Wonderland Engine, and more, we want you to use what you like. Publish when you’re ready. Share a link that works across devices.

Heading into 2026

We’re carrying three things forward with us into the new year, with the goal of making 2026 an even better destination for creators, players, and enthusiasts…

More great Worlds to discover

Games, art, real-world spaces, culture, classrooms, video… We want it all to be easier to find, and more of it.

More ways to support creators

Premium access and subscriptions are a start. We’ll keep expanding what creators can do next to earn from their work.

More reasons to build and share

The easiest win is still the same. Make something fun. Publish it live. Share the link.

Keep the momentum going

If you haven’t watched the 2025 recap video yet, start there. Then pick a lane.

And if you published something in 2025, don’t be shy! Drop the link and let people find it.
