“VIVERSE Create is probably one of the greatest gifts HTC has given to the world.”

— Wang Zongke, Head of IT, Xinhai Elementary School

We’re used to uploading photos to Facebook and sharing videos on YouTube. But 3D creation has long lacked a user-friendly platform for public showcasing. VIVERSE aims to become a 3D stage for every creator, not just a technical tool, but a free creative space. It’s a place where students express ideas, join digital communities, and build self-expression and confidence from a young age.

In today’s fast-changing world of digital learning, 3D creation is no longer limited to higher education or technical fields. With HTC’s VIVERSE Create platform, even elementary students can easily enter the world of 3D immersive creation. They begin their own journey of digital storytelling and creativity.

Xinhai Elementary’s “Virtual World Aesthetic Education” Program in Taipei

At Xinhai Elementary School in Wenshan District, Taipei, the “Cross-Disciplinary Virtual World Aesthetic Education” program has run for three years. It’s a strong example of how XR technology is entering elementary education. Led by Wang Zongke, Head of IT, upper-grade students use the VIVERSE Create platform to explore 3D design. Their creative journey begins in 2D and evolves into 3D, centered on the theme of “3D Mascot Design.”

The students begin by sketching their mascot designs by hand, then use AI tools to help generate 3D models. Their creations are further expanded into virtual spaces within VIVERSE, where they build class-themed walls, exhibition zones, and personal galleries. Throughout the process, students build skills in creative design, spatial planning, exhibition curation, and digital storytelling.

VIVERSE Create: Building a 3D Creation Platform for Everyone

“It’s such a great sense of accomplishment to see my work showcased in a 3D immersive space where my classmates can freely explore it!” one student said. This learning experience supports Taiwan’s 12-Year Basic Education curriculum, which emphasizes core competencies and hands-on skills. Through design thinking, logic, and problem-solving, students build tech literacy, communication, and creative self-expression across disciplines.

Some students designed colorful cats with cotton candy fur. Others combined ancient armor and culture to create merchandise-ready 3D models. Their imaginative works became fans, keychains, and more, blending fun with practical applications.

VIVERSE Create: XR Creation Without Coding, Bringing 3D Learning to Younger Students

HTC has long supported XR education, from university programs in Texas and Kaohsiung to elementary classrooms today. Step by step, HTC builds a complete learning pathway that spans professional training, career exploration, and early childhood education. This approach helps make XR education accessible across all ages.

At Xinhai Elementary in Taipei, VIVERSE Create lets students explore 3D creation without coding required. They discover how technology and art connect, and start imagining new possibilities for their digital futures. HTC will continue supporting global education with accessible 3D learning tools through VIVERSE Create. The goal: “creativity [as] the foundation of learning.”
