Earlier this month, VIVERSE proudly unveiled the University of East London's (UEL) Virtual Research Exhibition at the British Science Festival 2024, developed using our spatial collaboration platform, VIVERSE for Business. The event, which marked the festival's return to London after 24 years, was attended by course organisers, faculty members, partners, students, and the general public from September 11 to 15. It was a resounding success, with overwhelmingly positive feedback on the capabilities and potential of this innovative virtual environment.
Nina Jane Patel, Project Director & Consultant at Kabuni, shared: “We’ve been able to showcase groundbreaking research from the Institute for Connected Communities and the RIX Centre for Inclusive Technology in a truly immersive way. Visitors could interact with our findings on metaverse safety, digital wellbeing, social prescribing, and youth democratic action. This innovative presentation method allowed us to collaborate with RIX, an inclusive research institute, and engage the community in a mission to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities through effective use of digital and multimedia technologies.”
The UEL virtual research exhibition demonstrated how immersive technology can transform educational and research experiences. The dynamic, interactive environment allowed attendees to explore complex topics in an engaging format, making it a powerful tool for both education and public engagement.
As we continue to expand our presence in the education sector, we’re excited to work with forward-thinking institutions like UEL and industry leaders such as Nina Jane Patel. Their commitment to innovation aligns with our vision for creating transformative, immersive learning experiences. The success of the virtual exhibition at the British Science Festival 2024 highlights a significant step forward in bringing science, technology, and innovation to life through engaging and interactive events.
