Built by indie studio 5of12 through the VIVERSE Creator Grants Program, and launched June 10, 2026, Pezzi turns MIDI music into a relaxing spatial puzzle, playable for free on any device or in XR.

Pezzi is a relaxing musical puzzle game, now live and free to play on VIVERSE, where players connect blocks of MIDI sound to rebuild songs piece by piece. The game was built in WebXR by developer 5of12 and is now available for anyone worldwide to play instantly in their web browser, and in XR when you put on a headset.

5of12, the team that dreamed up Pezzi, is composed of developers, designers and musicians. They received a grant from the VIVERSE Creator Grants Program to build their game around the concept of “Music in Pieces,” and decided to showcase MIDI music for the project.

How Pezzi’s musical puzzle works

Pezzi’s gameplay is designed to be relaxing, fun, and immersive. According to 5of12, “Players are presented with blocks of sound which, when connected in the correct order, reveal a snippet of a song. As more and more puzzles are solved, the song comes together bar-by-bar, loop-by-loop until the full tune emerges. This creates a multi-dimensional puzzle: the musical challenge of figuring out the tune and the spatial challenge of arranging different block layouts without blocking yourself in the process.”

Pezzi plays instantly in the browser on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Play the musical puzzle game anywhere

Pezzi is one build that plays three ways: on mobile, on desktop, and in XR. In addition to being playable on 2D web browsers, Pezzi is also available in XR via the VIVERSE website when you’re wearing a headset. No matter if you’re using a smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC, or even an XR headset, you can relax and solve puzzles in Pezzi for free.
