VIVERSE Updates

What’s new in VIVERSE; September 2025 Updates

Build, share, and connect more easily than ever. The September VIVERSE update brings better tools, feedback features, and community interaction.

September brought a mix of community-driven upgrades and technical refinements to make creation, sharing, and exploration across VIVERSE smoother than ever. From creator profile improvements to SDK updates, here’s what’s new this month.

What’s New

Creator Profiles Made Simple

All creator profile URLs now match their usernames, making it easier for fans and collaborators to remember and revisit your page. Clean links, cleaner identity.

A username is now visible in the address bar for profile pages on VIVERSE.
Now your username is used in your VIVERSE profile URL.

Commenting Comes to World Pages

Players can now leave comments on your world’s detail page. You can manage them with like, edit, delete, and report options, giving you more control and a direct connection with your audience.

A comment appears, displaying new engagement opportunities for players and world creators.
Players can now leave comments on your world’s page to engage with you and other players.

Improved Mobile Experience

Mobile visitors will notice smoother world detail pages with enhanced compatibility and responsiveness.

Smoother mobile experiences for visitors to world pages.
Optimized experience on world pages.

PlayCanvas Loading Screen Upgrade

If a device can’t load your PlayCanvas world (e.g., a large world meets a VRAM-limited device), a fallback world trailer image will appear instead. That same image now serves as the loading-screen background while your world loads, creating a seamless transition into your scene.

Upload images to your World's settings to share additional content to serve as a fallback visual if your device is VRAM limited.
Add an image to serve as a cover image for the world, which will also appear on the world’s detail page as additional content for players and visitors to browse.
An uploaded image appears behind the load screen of a world while you wait.

Sit Feature Update

Avatars can now sit on moving platforms, perfect for vehicles, rides, or any scene where players need to take a seat in mid-motion.

You can now sit on moving platforms in a world. For example, we share on of the VIVERSE characters, Yaya, sitting on a gondola in Pet Rescue Venice.
You can now enable the sit feature while an object is in motion. For example, our VIVERSE character, Yaya, is sitting on a boat and enjoying the scenic views of Pet Rescue Venice.
